High Performance is a very grand scheme and attainable by every single person that desires it. It is not about being better than the next person at a particular discipline. It is about being better than you were yesterday and progressing everyday of your life. Moving forward requires consistent work over time. Physics says that Work over Time equals Power. High Value Work (ie. Work that is coupled with positive emotions such as love and joy) over time will elevate you to heights that will blow your mind.
Focusing on Self Awareness will not only improve your life, it will improve the life of everyone around you. I challenge everyone to become an expert on themselves (Mind, Body and Spirit). How can some people know everything about how their job, computers, cars or phones work and have no idea how their body or mind works? Quantum Physics suggests that everthing in its most basic form is just a wave of light. Knowing this, you will realize how important it is to ensure you Master your Mind. Master your Mind and you will be able to Direct your Emotions. Direct your Emotions and you will be able to Influence your Destiny!
High Octane Fuel! The more effective and efficient the fuel, the more effective and efficient the output. Very Simple. Add more High Octane fuel into your daily routine and you will find less and less need for garbage because you will start kicking so much ass you wont want to be slowed down.
Question Everything! Dont just do things because the person next to you is doing it. Get to the bottom of why you train. Give your training some purpose. Learn to communicate with your body. Listen Intently! Train Focused! Train Passionately! Your results will exceed expectations. Load Vector Training (Thank You Bret Contreras for the Kick Ass name) is the concept of upmost importance to understand because it will transfer results in the gym more appropriately to results in the arena of performance. It should be the very foundation of Sport Specific Training. Believe It!
